A smiling woman in outdoor mountain gear stands on rocky terrain with snow-capped mountains in the background under a clear blue sky.

Hi, I’m Bri.

I love training in the mountains and getting above treeline whenever I can. Desert to high alpine peaks have my heart and are my favorite way to spend a day.

Long, human-powered days across varied terrain are central to how I train and how I think about endurance.

Alongside running, cycling has become an important part of my life and training. I ride a mix of road, gravel, and mellow mountain bike terrain and value the balance it provides.

While I enjoy racing and the community it creates, I’m equally drawn to self-supported objectives — FKTs, peak lists, and long routes built around curiosity and exploration.

Below is a brief overview of my athletic, educational, and professional background, and the experiences that inform how I coach.

Staying up to date ~ always.

Beyond the experiences listed below, I consider myself a lifelong student of endurance sport. I value continual learning and curiosity as essential parts of effective coaching. This is particularly true in trail and mountain ultrarunning, where the demands of long-distance performance continue to shape and refine how we train.

Coaching Philosophy.

I believe the key to long-term success in endurance sport is finding the amount of running an athlete can sustainably manage alongside the rest of their life. Training that allows for year-to-year consistency, minimizes injury and illness, and keeps motivation high leads to the greatest adaptations over time.

I am a UESCA-certified Ultrarunning Coach, with that certification developed by Jason Koop. His coaching practices and evidence-based training principles strongly influence my approach. At the same time, I view coaching as an evolving practice — one that requires continual refinement, curiosity, and learning from experts across endurance, strength, nutrition, and sports science.

Female Specific.

While I work with and support athletes of all genders, I place specific emphasis on continuing education around training considerations unique to female athletes. This includes evidence-informed approaches to training, recovery, and long-term performance across different life stages, including the reproductive years, perimenopause, and postmenopause.

Who I coach.

I coach athletes across a wide range of experience levels — from those preparing for their first trail or ultratrail race to experienced runners seeking long-term performance gains.

While my primary focus is trail and mountain ultrarunning, I also work with athletes preparing for non-race mountain objectives. This includes self-supported efforts, long mountain days, backpacking objectives, peak pushes, and FKTs, where durability, decision-making, and sustainable pacing matter as much as fitness.

I also support athletes who transition to road running or racing during the winter months to build speed and become more well-rounded, as well as those who incorporate regular cross-training through multiple sports, such as skiing in winter or cycling in the spring and summer.

Your current level of fitness is less important to me than your willingness to commit to the training process. I value consistency over perfection.

Endurance Nutrition.

When it comes to trail and mountain running nutrition, I prioritize ensuring athletes consistently fuel enough to support their training and recovery. I work closely with athletes to dial in practical, on-the-run fueling and hydration strategies so nutrition never becomes a limiting factor in performance. Fitness alone isn’t enough — without a practiced fueling and hydration strategy, nutrition often determines how well an athlete can perform on race day.
